The Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) has named Dana Hutton, campus president at Southeastern College West Palm Beach, as the organization’s Administrator of the Year for 2020. The honor came on July 24 at a virtual ceremony announced by FAPSC President Brandon Biederman.

“We are extremely proud of Ms. Hutton and the amazing work she has done on behalf of Southeastern College’s West Palm beach campus,” said Robert Keiser, Executive Director of Southeastern College. “She has fostered a feeling of communal success for our students and staff and raised their expectations.”

The FAPSC Administrator of the Year Award recognizes administrators who display outstanding performance, provide exemplary support, encourage excellence, and contribute to the attainment of an institution’s goals. Nominees for the award must have demonstrated significant changes that enhance institutional productivity, honesty and adherence to the highest standards of moral and ethical principles, and exceptional commitment to developing and inspiring others to achieve extraordinary results.

Hutton has been with Southeastern College since 2014 and was named campus president at the school’s West Palm beach Campus in 2016. Since taking the helm, Hutton has helped the school grow its academic offerings while maintaining the highest level of required and voluntary accreditation. She has led the school in the development of new partnerships resulting in increased internship and job placement.

“It is such an honor to accept this award on behalf of Southeastern College,” said Hutton. “We have a true student-first culture and every member of our team takes great pride in working on behalf of our students and celebrating their victories.”

This is the second time a Southeastern College campus president has earned the FAPSC’s Administrator of the Year Award. In 2008, Julia Corona, campus president at Southeastern College Miami Lakes, earned the award. In addition, Southeastern College Miami Lakes took home the School of the Year Award in 2018.
