Southeastern College’s pharmacy technology program was recently named one of the best in Florida according to the online Pharmacy Technician Guide. Southeastern College took the No. 5 spot on the list which ranked the 28 Best Pharmacy Technician Schools in Florida for 2020.

The Pharmacy Technician Guide ranked the pharmacy technology programs at public and private schools in Florida on six main criteria. Graduation rates and average tuition were considered in the rankings as were factors such as student-to-faculty ratio, and support services available to students. Southeastern College was the only private school ranked in the top five and one of only two private schools in the top 10.

Southeastern scored well for its personalized focus to helping students meet their educational goals and the depth of its academic offering in pharmacy technology. The school’s program is certified by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and available at its campuses in Miami Lakes and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Florida ranks No.3 for the number of pharmacy technicians employed with approximately 29,380 pharmacy techs working in the state. That number is expected to grow by nearly 10 percent by 2026.
