Southeastern College Garners a Pair of Top 5 Rankings from

Southeastern College campuses in North Carolina and South Carolina (formerly Southeastern Institute) recently earned a pair of top 5 recognitions from in their annual ranking of colleges and schools. Southeastern was named No. 3 on the organization’s’ list of Best Medical Assisting Colleges in South Carolina and No. 2 on the list of Best Massage Therapy College sin North Carolina. ranked the 25 best medical assisting programs in its 2020 ranking of the Best Medical Assisting Colleges in South Carolina. Southeastern Institute Columbia took the No. 3 spot and was one on only three private schools ranked in the top 10. The school scored well for its focus on preparing graduates to sit for the American Medical Technologists (AMT) to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam. View the complete report here.

Careers in the allied health fields remain among the fastest growing in South Carolina. The U.S. Department of Labor Statistics predicts medical assisting jobs in the U.S. will grow by 19 percent between 2019-2029, much faster than the average.

Southeastern College offers an A.A.S in Medical Assisting at both the Columbia and Charleston, S.C. campuses.

In addition to its placement as one of the top medical assisting schools, Southeastern College also garnered the No. 2 spot on’s list of Best Massage Therapy College sin North Carolina. The list ranked the top 25 massage therapy programs in South Carolina. Southeastern’s Charlotte campus was among four private schools to earn the honor.
