Executive Director, Southeastern College

Julia I. Corona, Executive Director of Southeastern College, has more than 23 years of leadership experience in higher education. Mrs. Corona brings a strong record of advancing student success, institutional growth, and academic excellence.

Before her current role, Mrs. Corona served as Campus President of Southeastern College’s Miami Lakes campus, where she led the institution through significant program expansion and operational success. Under her leadership, the campus achieved record student growth and earned recognition for excellence in student outcomes and community engagement. Her visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to education made her a natural choice to guide Southeastern College’s continued mission and expansion as Executive Director.

A proud daughter of immigrant parents, Mrs. Corona attributes her values of hard work, perseverance, and service to her family’s journey. She believes deeply that education transforms lives — a philosophy that has shaped every step of her professional path.

At the national level, Mrs. Corona serves as a Team Leader for the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and as Secretary of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC). Her dedication to educational quality and advocacy has earned her statewide recognition, including the prestigious FAPSC Administrator of the Year and Campus of the Year awards in 2018.

Beyond her professional achievements, Mrs. Corona is a dedicated community leader. She serves as Treasurer of her children’s Parent-Teacher Student Association (PTSA), promoting strong family–school partnerships and volunteering her time to support educational enrichment and student development. Her service reflects her holistic view of leadership — one that extends from classrooms to communities.

Mrs. Corona resides in South Florida with her husband and their twin teenage sons. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Franklin University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) to continue advancing her leadership and service in education.

She lives by her guiding belief: “From opportunity comes responsibility — and the power to create lasting change.”
